A. Hardware Installation Guide

1. Items to be installed:

A. back cover
B. front cover
C. body case
D. insulation paper
E. metallic stick

2. Stick the insulation paper to the bottom side of the HD

3. Insert the HD into the body case

4. Insert the back cover into the body case until the tenon is firmly placed

5. Insert the front cover as step 4

6. Connect USB cable to the mini USB port on the external case

7. Connect both USB plugs to the computer to obtain enough power

8. Use a DC 5V 2A power adaptor if USB could not provide enough power

9. Use the metallic stick to uninstall the covers. Please poke in the tenon behind
the socket slightly with the stick and pull out the cover (too much pressure will
break the tenon of the cover ).

B. Driver Installation Guide

• No Driver required in Windows ME / Windows 2000 / Windows XP operating system.

• For Windows98

(Make sure the external device is disconnected before the installation)

1. Please insert the CD into CD-ROM.

2. An auto run menue will show up, please select "2.5"External Enclosure / Manual", then click
"HD-D1-U2,HD-D3-U2,HD-D4-U2(Driver for Win98)", the driver will be installed automatically.

The steps are shown as below :

Select the language

Click "Next"

Select folder where Setup will install files (C:\Program Files\USBToolbox) then click "Next"

Select program folder (USB Storage Toolbox) then click "Next"

Installing driver

Restart computer

3. After restarting the system, connect the enclosure to the computer,
the system will be finding new hardware and install it.

4. Installation is complete.

C. Driver Installation Guide (FOR MAC)

Support only Mac OS 9.X and above version (PnP), no driver installation is needed.
